I count only sunny hours

I was running late for my sewing lesson this morning, so I threw on the most basic outfit ever: AA cardigan, H&M tank, J Brands and Keds. It ended up being perfect for today--the weather in SF was lovely. The bf and I went to the SF MOMA and frolicked around Golden Gate Park afterwards.

One of my favorites from the museum, Robert Rauschenberg's American:

He's carrying my shopping bag, not a man purse, by the way...

Not-fashion related, but...

A little Conor Oberst never hurt anybody. Pictures from his show at Amoeba in SF earlier this month:

Amazing.

Technical difficulties, kind of

Hello world. My internet at home isn't working, so I've been stealing my neighbor's wi-fi. It's not as fast or as reliable as I'd like it to be, so I won't be blogging until my actual internet comes back. Until then, I leave you with the bf and I at the beach:

ELLE "The Look" assignment!

Here's an image of the fake ELLE page I made for my fashion journalism class. Once again, click on the image to see it bigger in a new window. Honestly, I've never been absolutely wowed by a Gucci collection, but this fall's collection is amazing.Image and video hosting by TinyPicSome of my favorite runway shots:

These are actually rough drafts of trend pitches for my fashion journalism class. We're supposed to pretend that we write for Elle, which lost a bit of credibility in my mind because of the whole Stylista thing. Or maybe I'm just jealous. I wanted to do a pitch on exposed zippers ("XYZ: Get some exposure this fall...") but I ran out of time looking for runway examples and just went for metal in general. Gareth Pugh took my safety pin idea and made it work. Seriously. My safety pin garment from my collection looked more like a robotic hula skirt. But whatever. We're both so metal. Harharhar.
